Ihlara is a separate excursion
Ihlara Valley lies away from the central Göreme, Ürgüp and Uçhisar hotel area. It is better treated as a dedicated day trip than something to squeeze between hotel checkout and an airport transfer.
Walking time is only part of the day
Allow time for the drive to the valley, the section you plan to walk, breaks and the return journey. Current access conditions and visitor arrangements can also affect the day.
Check current information
Entrances, restoration work, ticket arrangements and trail access can change. Check current official information close to the visit rather than relying on an old route description.
Keep flight days simple
If you have a departure flight, return to the hotel in time for the confirmed airport pickup. We do not treat Ihlara as a normal stop on a standard airport transfer.
